You will be staying at Tusk Bush Lodge, our own private Luxury Safari Lodge in Marloth Park, ten minutes away from the Crocodile River Gate, the most Southern gate into Kruger National Park, with a maximum of only six guests per Safari you are guaranteed a personal one on one service.
Tusk Bush Lodge & Photographic Safaris is the culmination of a twenty year love affair with Southern Africa, its wildlife, landscapes, people and cultures and specialises in African wildlife photo safari tours and workshops.
Owned and operated by Australian Professional Wildlife & Commercial Photographer R.D.Wayne Holloway, with his son Adam as general manager and a small dedicated team we aim to provide our guests with the best in service, photographic opportunities and advice coupled with our own private luxury safari lodge nestled in Marloth Park. This private nature conservation area and holiday township is in the Lowveld of South Africa, just ten minutes from the famous Crocodile bridge gate in the southern section of the mighty Kruger National Park and is close to Swaziland and Mozambique.
The Southern section of Kruger National Park is famous for it's sightings of the Big Five (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Cape Buffalo and Leopard) plus a multitude of plains game like Warthog, Impala, Giraffe, Kudu, Zebra etc which makes this place the best for African wildlife photo safari tours.
We are a small boutique wildlife photographic safari and guest lodge based in Marloth Park in the Lowveld of South Africa, designed by a photographer for photographers. Catering to guests who want to be close to nature and with like minded people in a luxury bush setting, and with a maximum of only six guests at any one time you are guaranteed a very personal service. We don't do classroom style lectures but prefer to have informal discussions and sharing of knowledge, because of our small group sizes we can offer a very flexible itinerary.
Our accommodation is a unique blend of traditional safari materials, thatch and timber, luxury tasteful interiors welcome you when you enter your bungalow, a feel of "old Africa" with a modern twist. Each bungalow has either two singles or a king sized bed, a bar fridge with bottled water plus coffee and tea making facilities, plenty of power points and bench space to charge camera batteries, phones etc.
Each bungalow is provided with the complimentary use of a CANON DSLR camera system for the entire length of your safari and the use of a number of CANON lenses, plus a pair of high powered Barska 9x63 field Binoculars.
You also have complimentary use of our safari bean bags, tripods, monopods, tripods and long lens gimbals, in fact everything you need to make your photographic safari with us a memorable one. All you have to do is supply your own SD or CF cards.
Our guests will enjoy home style cooking using local seasonal ingredients and the world famous South African braai (BBQ) with a selection of local wines and beers to tempt the palate.
Grab your camera gear, a couple of our pushbikes and head down to the Crocodile River road and take in the ever changing wildlife and scenery of the Crocodile River and Kruger National Park.
